***I have updated this recipe to fit the Trim Healthy Mama eating plan. Recipe for the LOW CARB version of this cookie is listed first, with the original recipe listed after***
TRIM HEALTHY MAMA PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
- 1 cup SUGAR FREE Peanut Butter
- 1/2 cup Sweetener (I use Pyure, use the same measurement for THM Gentle Sweet)
- 1/4 cup THM baking blend, or homemade equivalent
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1 Cup SUGAR FREE Chocolate Chips
---follow same instructions as original recipe, below---
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips (I always use Semi-Sweet. Always.)
- Mix all the ingredients together except for the chocolate chips until smooth.
- Once mixed, stir in chocolate chips.
- Use cookie scoop to spoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a tea towel or cooling rack. They will feel as though they are not set when they first come out, but after cooling they will set!
I tried this tonight - and I added a twist to it! I will blog about it in the future, Thanks for the delicious idea!
ReplyDeleteI made these today, and they were DELICIOUS!! Mine did flatten out a bit, but I cut my recipe in half because I didn't have enough peanut butter, so maybe that's why. They were beautiful and so yummy!! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteAre they crumbly cookies?
ReplyDeleteNope! Not too bad! I hate crunchy cookies- these are perfect. They are chewy, but you do have to let them cool before picking them up so they can set up.
DeleteThank you! Testing them, mine are in the oven! :)
ReplyDeletecheap peanut butter makes them spread into a messy pool... ive made these before and loved them! but todays batch was a disaster... i chalk it up to the peanut butter
ReplyDeleteDelicious...I used a no name brand PB and they were still terrific! Thanks or sharing!
ReplyDeleteCould you use natural pb for this? Then maybe I'd add some honey or liquid stevia to sweeten?
ReplyDeleteAre these overly sweet? We don't eat much sugar over here, so I'm worried without the flour that they'll be overly sweet. I will be trying this recipe tonight!
ReplyDeleteJust seen this recipe and thought I would make them. Delicious!!! Exactly how a cookie should be, soft and chewy!!
ReplyDeleteMade these last night for New Year's Eve and they were delicious. Soft, chewy cookies are the best. Only problem I had is I over baked a batch and some of them burned and had to be thrown out, so just be careful not to over bake.
ReplyDeleteHow many carbs are these cookies? I found them on a site for very low carb cookies..but with that much sugar and peanut butter?
ReplyDeleteThese are my go to cookies for my little gluten free guy - and for myself! They are easy and delicious!!!
